SEIDOR acquires Gesein to strengthen its presence in the public sector.

On January 19, 2023, SEIDOR, a consulting firm for technological services and solutions, acquired a majority stake in Gesein, a Spanish company specialized in IT services and consulting with a high specialization in the public sector. With this operation, both companies combine capabilities and experience to provide more robust and specific solutions for Public Administrations.

Founded in Madrid in 1993, Gesein is a 100% Spanish technology company, formed by a team of 350 professionals, with a high specialization in the public sector, mainly the General State Administration (AGE), as well as Autonomous Communities and Local Administrations. Among these organizations are the Tax Agency, Social Security Information Management, General Secretariat of Digital Administration (SGAD), State Public Employment Service (SEPE), Ministry of Transport, Fundae, or the City Council of Madrid, among others.

This move is part of SEIDOR's strategy to grow organically and inorganically, both nationally and internationally, making it the first 100% privately owned technology consulting firm in Spain. With a team of 9,000 professionals, SEIDOR has developed a complete portfolio of services and technological solutions and increased its global presence, reaching 45 countries.

Gesein has carried out a wide range of projects, including application development, digital transformation consulting services, and infrastructure services in the latest digital technologies.

Headquartered in Madrid, Gesein achieved a turnover of 20 million euros in the 2022 fiscal year. The current Managing Director of Gesein, Santiago Aranda, will assume the position of Director of the Public Sector division of SEIDOR in Madrid; thus, Aranda will lead the area resulting from the operation, which will operate under the brand SEIDOR Gesein.

With this integration, SEIDOR Gesein will drive the digitization of administrations, with a special focus on the General State Administration, providing technological solutions that reinforce its efficiency and agility, as well as generating a positive impact on the citizen's experience, improving accessibility to more agile services adapted to their needs.

Finally, the CEO of SEIDOR concluded that "the integration of Gesein allows us to continue contributing innovative solutions focused on strengthening the business and institutional fabric, as well as generating quality employment in the country."

It is also worth noting that, for more than 10 years, Gesein has worked as a CMMI auditor, accredited by the CMMI Institute, conducting CMMI audits within organizations, as well as consulting for other standards such as ISO 20000, ISO 27001, or ENS, among others, accompanying organizations in obtaining certifications.

Reinforcement of the local and global business fabric

The acquisition of Gesein adds to the ones that SEIDOR has been carrying out in recent years in Spain, such as Opentrends, dedicated to developing cloud applications and customer experience solutions; NTS, specializing in integrating IoT and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based mobile technology solutions; Impala, focusing on corporate communications, IT security, and infrastructure; Nubersia, providing cloud services; or Avenet IT, specializing in infrastructure, workplaces, and IT security, among others.

Likewise, the Spanish IT company has followed this same policy in other countries, such as France, with the acquisition of WorkWell; in Ireland and the United Kingdom, with Teamsoft; or the Italian companies GunPowder and ECA Consult, among others.

These operations are part of a focus on enhancing SEIDOR's portfolio and capabilities, with the aim of consolidating itself as a reference technology partner, nationally and in all regions where it operates.
